Pressed by KIND: Flavor Reviews by a Plant-Based Family

IMG_8373.JPG

As a mom who is constantly on the go, I am always on the lookout for snacks that are convenient and quick. While fresh fruits and veggies are always my first choice, they don’t tend to do well when stashed at the bottom of a dance bag and left for week or more. Side note: have you ever found a forgotten banana under a car seat? Yea…me either…

That is why I was so excited a few weeks ago when I discovered a new line of bars called Pressed by KIND while I was grocery shopping. Each bar has very simple ingredients consisting of only fruit, vegetables, and/or chia seeds. I am so careful about allowing packaged foods into my house, but these bars totally fit the bill. No preservatives, no additives, no allergens (hello new school snack favorite!), all in individually wrapped packages. Each bar boasts 2 servings of fruit, 4 grams of fiber, and is gluten-free.

So, when KIND reached out to me and asked if I’d like to sample the other flavors, I jumped at the chance! As of now, there are 5 Pressed flavors and I truly hope there are more coming in the future. I asked Husband and the kids to act as a taste-test panel and give their honest opinions about each of the Pressed bar flavors. Since the kids are 7, 5, and 3, the answers I got were quite interesting, so take their reactions with a grain of pink Himalayan sea salt, ok?

Excited taste test pannel!

While we enjoyed each flavor combination, Husband and the 5 year old preferred the Pineapple Coconut Chia bar while the 7 and 3 year old chose the Cherry Apple Chia bar as their favorite. I thought the Mango Apple Chia had the best flavor and texture, but you really can’t go wrong with any of these bars! Simple ingredients in a backpack friendly package.

Kid tested, mom (and dad) approved.

Which Pressed by KIND flavor are you most excited to try?

      1. Each flavor is “linked” to Amazon where you can buy them! Just click on the title of the flavor you want (it should look blue on your screen) ! I haven’t been to a whole foods recently, so I don’t know if you can get them there.
